Donovann gives us an illustration inspired by the great wave of Kanagawa, literally “Under the wave off Kanagawa”, better known as The Wave, which is a famous Japanese print by the Japanese painter, specialist in ukiyo-e , Hokusai, published in 1830. His character literally “marries” the shape of the wave, in a posture which does not bode well for the outcome of this urban surfing…What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger - Friedrich Nietzsche / Philosopher.
• In a participatory spirit, the illustrators of the Fucking Ride project benefit from promotion on each of their works and are paid on each t-shirt sold.
• In the interest of ecological responsibility, the t-shirts present on our eshop are made only on demand in France in order to avoid any unnecessary stock.
• In a desire to support the emergency services present on the “Fails” when there is “breakage”, 1 euro is donated on each t-shirt sold to the national association of firefighters in France and to their counterparts abroad.
An illustrator by profession, Donovann Bonnet works among other things in publishing (see Littleboy published by Lapins) and for the web (visuals for mobile applications, interface, Gifg, etc.). He recently distinguished himself through visuals for chef Danny Khezzar and dancer Yanis Marshall. He enjoys working in various fields and renewing his style to challenge himself with the aim of creating his own clothing brand in the medium term. Passionate about drawing, South Korean cinema and music, he aims to create the visual identity of a music video.
